4 Cops Who Partied With Alcohol & Air Ketum At Bangi Balai Will Face No Criminal Charges
According to Selangor police chief Arjunaidi Mohamed, the officers will be subjected to disciplinary action as the deputy public prosecutor has decided to not press criminal charges against the suspects.

Four police officers, who were caught partying with four civilian women at a police station in Bangi, Selangor, will not face any criminal charges and instead will be subjected to disciplinary action
According to Selangor police chief Arjunaidi Mohamed, the officers will be subjected to disciplinary action as the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) has decided to not press criminal charges against the suspects.
"There are no criminal charges. But they are getting disciplinary action, an investigation is being conducted by Bukit Aman," Malaysiakini quoted Arjunaidi as saying today, 28 October.
The four were nabbed in a raid by Bukit Aman on 20 July this year while partying at the police station.
In the July raid conducted by a team from Bukit Aman's Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS), a sub-inspector (station chief), two corporals, and a support corporal were detained
The JIPS team found alcoholic beverages and ketum juice in the room the officers used, which was located on the second floor of the station, reported the New Straits Times at the time.
During the raid, the JIPS team seized, among other items, bottles of liquor, speakers, a disco light, five bottles of ketum juice, and an obscene photograph of one of the detained officers with a woman.
The sub-inspector had initially tested positive for marijuana
Following which, the officer was pulled from active duty.
However, a second urine test on the sub-inspector in charge of the Bangi police station has now returned negative, according to JIPS director Azri Ahmad, reported Berita Harian.
"I was informed that a second urine test conducted for confirmation by the pathologist found that the officer involved was negative for drug abuse," Berita Harian quoted him as saying.
Azri said they were issued compounds for violating COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Additionally, Azri said the four are still subjected to an ongoing disciplinary investigation where they are facing charges under the Public Officers Codes of Conduct (Conduct and Discipline) 1993.
"They are instructed to submit letters of representation to all the charges regarding their offences before further decisions are made (on them)," he added.
