A man recently died after being hit by a falling tree branch during heavy rain
According to Sinar Harian, the incident took place at Alam Damai, Taman Len Seng, Cheras, around 4.15pm yesterday, 15 April.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Syed Izzat Izzudin who was riding a Yamaha LC 135CC motorcycle. Previously, a video of the accident scene went viral on social media.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department chief ACP Zulkifli Yahya told the Malay daily, "Suddenly a tree branch from the side of the road fell on the victim's body. He was pronounced dead at the scene."
The fire and rescue team were called to the location and they had to cut the branch to retrieve the body. It was then sent to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre.

In a statement, the Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre explained that other locations which saw falling trees include Section 2 in Wangsa Maju, Jalan Pantai Murni at Pantai Dalam, Kampung Padang Merbuk at Jalan Melati, Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) towards Hulu Klang, Wisma Tani, Jalan Bukit Tunku, and Jalan Tijani at Bukit Tunku.
