15-Year-Old Boy Escapes Knife-Wielding Kidnappers While Jogging In Shah Alam
The teenager fought back, striking one of the kidnappers until he fell to the ground.
A 15-year-old boy fought off two suspects and escaped an attempted kidnapping in Section 13, Shah Alam on Monday, 28 April
According to a Facebook post, the victim's father said said his son was jogging from the Sri Alam Condominium to the Raja Tun Uda library when a grey Proton Saga approached and blocked his path at 5.15pm.
There were two men in the car. One of them, wearing a face mask and cap, threatened his son with a knife and ordered him to get in.
"When my son refused to comply, the man attacked him, swinging the knife wildly and stabbing him.
"My son sustained slash wounds to his face and hands but managed to fight back, striking the attacker until he fell.
"My son then quickly ran towards the nearby guardhouse to seek help," read the post.
The teenager was safe after security guards helped him and contacted his family
"Although my wife and I were deeply shocked by what had happened, we are incredibly grateful that our son managed to escape. Thankfully, his injuries were minor, only superficial cuts from the attack," the father said.
He urged residents around the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Golf and Country Club to be extra vigilant, as the kidnappers may try to target others again.
Shah Alam district police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed that the police had received a report regarding the incident, reported Berita Harian.
The case is currently being investigated under Sections 363 and 324 of the Penal Code for kidnapping and causing hurt with a weapon.
