This LEGO x Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Building Kit is your ticket down memory lane!
Yes, you didn't hear it wrong.
LEGO is launching a brick version of Nintendo's popular console from the 80s and it will feature everyone's favourite character - Mario.
The 2,646-piece kit will allow builders to construct a brick-built NES model packed with realistic details, including a retro LEGO television set.
The set will come with a Super Mario Bros. Game Pak, which you can insert into the console that has an opening slot with a locking feature. You won't have to blow the cartridge before inserting it, of course. This console will work every time!
It will also include a controller with a connecting cable and plug, LEGO told SAYS.
Did we forget to mention that the game actually works?
In true LEGO fashion, the 'game' runs analogically with a handle-operated scrolling screen.
While you spin the physical lever to make the screen rotate, you will see Mario jumping on the screen to avoid obstacles and enemies.
To add sound to your new console, LEGO said, "Fans can scan an included action brick with LEGO Mario from the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course, so he reacts to on-screen enemies, obstacles, and power-ups just as he would have in the iconic Super Mario Bros. game."

The LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System Building Kit is made for adults over the age of 18. The retail price for this product is RM949.90.
It will be available exclusively at LEGO Certified Stores and LEGOLAND in Malaysia beginning 1 August. The full LEGO Super Mario product line will also be made available on the same date.
