This Is The Only Malaysian City On Lonely Planet's 10 Must-See Places In Asia In 2017

In this year's list of must-see places, Lonely Planet has listed down 10 Asian destinations to quench your wanderlust

In the list, China and Japan each have two locations mentioned by Lonely Planet as a must-see, while Malaysia, Singapore, and India find each gets a single mention.

The only Malaysian city to be featured in the list is Melaka City, which has been ranked no.9 by Lonely Planet

In the capital and historic city, Lonely Planet recommends that you check out the waterfront gallery space Zheng He Duo Yun Zuan, split between two converted warehouses, or rummage for souvenirs at the Trash & Treasure flea market, held riverside every weekend.

You can then head to the Shore Shopping Gallery, a new upscale mall where the rooftop Sky Tower provides panoramic views across this alluring metropolis.

The other nine places in Asia listed are:

2. South of Tokyo, Japan

3. Northern Kerala, India

4. Keong Saik Road, Singapore

5. Astana, Kazakhstan

6. Takayama, Japan

7. Xi’an, China

8. Sri Lanka's Hill Country

10. Raja Ampat, Indonesia
