This historical landmark in the heart of KL is home to a thriving arts space where art lovers gather for an immersive and intimate experience

Located in Lorong Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, The Godown is an arts space offering immersive experiences, like exhibitions, performances, workshops, art markets, and more.

The space is a fusion of a historical Dutch warehouse and a semi open-air extension designed by Ling Hao Architects. If you're a lover of the arts, this space is the perfect go-to when you want to appreciate and take part in the local arts scene.

Earlier this year, The Godown hosted a Buka Buku showcase where the exhibition revolved around the Chinese folding book as a medium of exchanging ideas beyond physical means

On 30 July and 31 July, they hosted a Godown Artists Market, where there were workshops and crafts by featured artists, as well as plants, good food, and heartfelt performances

There were various artists, fashion and thrift brands, handcrafted gifts, home decor items, and even cute plants. If you're feeling crafty, you can even join activities like upcycled wood coaster paintings and authentic Iranian Thezip art workshops.

The next Godown Artists Market will be happening on 27 August until 28 August, so mark your calendars!
