This Huge Christmas Tree In Sunway Velocity Mall Is Made Of Repurposed Packaging Materials

After a long year of being separated from our loved ones, Sunway Velocity Mall's theme of 'Together For Good' personifies the community rebuilding and reuniting once again for a common goal — to celebrate this joyous season with those near and dear to our hearts.

Made by stacking recyclable boxes of various sizes that feature the mall's outlets, and prettily tied up with an exceptionally large Sunway Velocity Mall bow, this special Christmas tree not only reduces waste, but also symbolises building and coming together as a community for a good cause.

What's extra special about the giant Christmas tree is that you can press a button to light it up, ooooo! And of course, the festive atmosphere would not be complete without the many strings of Christmas lights encircling the mall.

You'll also find Santa's helpers, the little elves, scattered around the mall, along with small Christmas tress that have been transformed from repurposed paper bags of various brands.

Instead of spending on decorations, the mall is instead redirecting that budget towards Corporate Social Responsibility efforts by giving back to the community.

As each person donates to a good cause at the concierge counter, the accumulated donation amount will be shown on the giant Christmas tree's LED screen.

For every photo uploaded and tagged, Sunway Velocity Mall will donate essentials to the needy.

Located at the Main Atrium, Ground Floor, as well as many other spots across all levels in the mall, the booths host brands such as Famous Amos, Claire Organics, Shins, Eureka, Maison Berger, and many more!

Whether you're shopping for your partner, bestie, or perhaps even whoever you got for Secret Santa, you'll definitely be able to find a great prezzie that they'll love.

Check out what you could redeem when you spend at Sunway Velocity Mall:

- Tier 1: Spend RM300 and above in a maximum of two receipts (RM200 for HSBC Credit Cardholders) to redeem an 80g bag of Famous Amos cookies

- Tier 2: Spend RM600 and above in a maximum of four receipts (RM500 for HSBC Credit Cardholders) to redeem a 3-Piece Towel Set

There are five game stations located at various pocket areas around the mall where you can scan QR codes to play games. At every game station, you'll be able to collect stamps, and once you have collected all five stamps, head over to the ground floor concierge counter to redeem a mystery gift.

And while you're at it, don't forget to take lots of Insta-worthy photos at the various Christmas Stations throughout the mall. You can find them at the Main Atrium and Level 5 Commune, as well as near AGift with Care, Popular, and Sushi Zanmai.
