The Red Clinic at Jaya One is offering free wound care consultations for burn victims affected by the recent gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights
Burn wounds can be tricky, and leaving them untreated might lead to complications. That's why The Red Clinic is offering this free consultation to ensure victims get the care they need.
You'll be in good hands with Dr Richard Ngu, who has extensive experience in wound care.
Having trained in a busy orthopaedic unit, he developed a deep passion for treating wounds and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Wound Care (Lincoln). He's committed to making sure every patient gets the best possible treatment.
The Red Clinic has two branches, but Dr Richard is usually based at the Jaya One location. You can check out his schedule on their website.
It's important to note that serious burns typically require initial hospital care, and only after discharge does external assistance become relevant
Regular dressings are even more crucial for patients with comorbidities, such as diabetes. Wound care products vary significantly in cost, with some reaching hundreds of ringgit per session.
While The Red Clinic cannot cover the cost of all products, they offer expert advice at no charge, even if patients don't end up performing regular dressings with them.
