11 Gorgeous Bars And Clubs You Should Visit With Your Friends In Bali

Seminyak

1. Potato Head Beach Club

If you only have one night to party in Bali, then Potato Head Beach Club is the place to be. There are three restaurants in the club, a swimming pool, sun deck, bar, and the best view of sea in the Seminyak area. 

Day beds by the pool are seated on a first-come-first-serve basis, but priority is given to guests of the Katamama hotel next door. You can come at 11am to book a day bed; or just reserve a seat at the Pizza Garden or Kaum restaurant in the club as pool access is free for all customers.

Opening hours: 10am - 2am

2. Akademi Bar

Situated in the lobby area of Katamama hotel beside Potato Head Beach Club is the Akademi, which acts as both a bar and hub for mixologists to learn together. The bar is known for having its own collection of homemade infused arak (a local liquor made from rice or palm sap), like coffee arak and ginger arak. 

While it's not a hidden bar, it can be quite difficult to find the Akademi. Just ask for directions to the Katamama hotel, and the bar is the first thing you'll see at the lobby. 

Opening hours: 4pm - 1am

3. Motel Mexicola

Motel Mexicola doesn't just do parties - they do the most exciting and amazing fiestas on the island. The Mexican themed restaurant-bar is also known for its colourful interior, complete with huge murals, vintage Mexican posters, and neon lights. 

The queue to enter the restaurant can get quite long later in the evening, so come early for a quick dinner and party the night away with their signature cocktails! Do make a reservation if you're visiting on a weekend or Friday night.

Uluwatu

4. Single Fin Beach Club

Some have said that this is where you can get the best sunset view in Bali. Single Fin is a cliff-top bar with the biggest balcony in Bali - a favourite among surfers and photographers as it offers a great view of the sea and waves. 

As the bar can get quite crowded, do reserve a table a few days before your planned visit. Do try their famous Revolver coffee and Nalu Bowl! 

Opening hours: 8am - 10pm (Mon-Sat); 8am - 1am (Sun)

5. OMNIA Dayclub

Bali's most atas club is definitely one worth visiting, even if you're there for the 'gram. OMNIA Dayclub is the most luxurious party spot on the island, with an amazing 360-degree view of the ocean from one of the cliffs in Uluwatu. 

They have frequent visits from some of the best DJs in the region, so do check out their website to see if your favourite ones is in town! 

Opening hours: 11am - 10:30pm

Canggu

6. La Laguna Bali

This beach bar is probably the most magical place you'll ever see in Bali. Inspired by his Spanish gypsy heritage, the owner of La Laguna designed this beach bar in a boho-chic style. It's a lush green oasis filled with colourful caravans and vibrant seating carpets.

Come during the day to explore the bar's vast gardens, and stay to watch the sunset with a glass of their signature cocktails. 

Opening hours: 9am - 12 midnight

7. Finns Beach Club

People flock to Finns Beach Club for its 30m infinity pool and direct access to the Canggu Beach. They also have another pool beside their spacious green lawn, where you're allowed to play volleyball and football at anytime of the day. There are also six different bars in the club for you to chill at. 

Fun fact: Music lovers will enjoy Finns because of their underwater speakers - designed that way so you can really feel the beat!

8. La Brisa Bali

La Brisa is designed in such a way to remind visitors of what island living really is like. The bar is built using reclaimed wood from more than 500 old fishermen boats and decorated with unused nets to create a beach shack look. 

We were told that the seafood tapas here is really good, and the kitchen only serves seafood caught by Balinese fishermen. The ingredients for almost all their dishes are also sourced locally, an effort by the bar to promote sustainability.

Ubud

9. Folk Pool & Gardens

Said to be one of Ubud's best kept secrets, Folk Pool & Gardens is one of the best hangout spots you should check out if you're in town. The gardens is hidden behind a row of shops, accessible through a small alleyway decorated with fairy lights and vines. 

Book one of their day beds and enjoy complimentary canapés, fresh fruits, and free flow of infused water before 5pm. Towels are provided FOC too!

10. No Más

This bar isn't just a haven for Instagrammers, they also serve some of the best cocktails in town. No Más features live bands playing classic rock songs almost every night, a BBQ dinner every Sunday, and affordable cocktails every Thursday evening. 

They're located just above Folk Pool & Gardens. Just follow the sign that says "Treasure This Way" to find it.

Sanur

11. ARTOTEL Beach Club

Head to ARTOTEL Beach Club (also called ABC) for a more laidback club environment. The club faces the Sanur Beach, known for its gentle waves and relaxing ambience. It's also one of the newest beach clubs to open on the island, and the first to be established in Sanur. 

ABC is one of the few family-friendly beach clubs on the island, so feel free to bring your kids here for a fun day out!
