Let's be real: The online shopping world would be a better place if shipping fees didn't exist!
Okay sure, the stuff you ordered are conveniently delivered to your doorstep but that also means you probably have to order more items than you need to get that free delivery. Is it really worth it in the end?
Unfortunately, free shipping is nothing but a mythical unicorn of the interwebz. We all secretly want it, but everyone knows "free shipping" doesn't really exist.
But here's where it gets really interesting... Shopee is turning that long-lost dream into reality!
Shopee is a mobile-first social marketplace with a punchy twist: Products sold and bought on the platform are eligible for FREE SHIPPING until 30th June 2016! Yep, for reals!
While the Free Shipping move is great news for shopaholics, it provides a great start for budding entrepreneurs wanting to rev up their business too.
Adding on to the Free Shipping perk, Shopee is also a free-to-use platform; no listing or commission fees are charged. Whether you're buying or selling, it's win-win either way!
Here's how it works:
For sellers:
1. Sign up for a Shopee account and upload your items for sale.
2. Once an item is sold, ship it over via Pos Laju.
3. Key in the Pos Laju tracking number in your Shopee account and you'll be reimbursed in approximately 3 days.
For buyers:
1. Sign up for that Shopee account and browse through 19 categories, from staples like women's wear and baby supplies to awesome additions like gaming consoles and kitschy handmade trinkets.
2. Keep a look out for the green truck icon. If you see the icon on the item you're keen to get, then the shipping is free!
Do note that shipping reimbursements are capped at RM8 for West Malaysia and RM11 for East Malaysia. Reimbursements will only be made for shipments made via Pos Laju. Read on for more info here.
