Cheese Naan: An oven baked flatbread heavily stuffed with gooey melting cheese (Need I say more?).

What makes a cheese naan awesomely good? Could it be the amount of cheese stuffed in it? Or maybe it's the fact that it's cooked in a clay oven?

Whatever it may be, these 5 restaurants definitely ticked off all the (right kind of) boxes on the checklist and if you're a fan of cheese naan, you definitely need to visit these places

1. Nathan's Corner

Address: Jalan 6/155, Taman Industri Bukit OUG, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.2. Nathan’s Corner.

Business Hours: 24 hours

Tip:You are probably wondering why does this cheese naan have strands of cheese strewn all over. Well, that's the beauty of Nathan's!

The visual aspect of the naan is just gorgeous and stands out from the rest and instead of just melting the cheese as a simple middle layer between the crust (like most mamaks do), the geniuses threw them all onto the crust, creating what we here like to call; a beautiful mess. And trust me, messy is good when it comes to food presentation, especially when it’s all about the cheese.

2. Sri Steven's Corner

Address: 18 & 18A, Jalan Hujan Rahmat Dua, OUG, Jalan Kelang Lama, 58200 Kuala Lumpur.

Business Hours: 24 hours

Tip: Though more famous for it's banana leaf rice, the cheese naan here is quite a feast as well, what with it's layers and layers of thick cheese and crunchy crust. Sinfully calorific but oh so good, even the strictest diet fans will fall prey to the lure of it's cheesiness. To add, Stevens imports only the best spices from India in order to stay true to the authenticity of the Indian cuisine.

However, do expects service to be a tad bit slow, so multiple orders might have to be made. Also, reviews say the cheese naan at this place is best savoured with Shakalaka Boom Boom (Yes, that is an actual drink).

3. Restoran Mahbub

Address: 15-17 Lorong Ara Kiri 1, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur.

Business Hours: 24 hours

Tip: Apart from it's attention grabbing name, the restaurant has definitely gained quite a reputation with it's cheesy heavenly naan. Well know for it's chicken and lamb Briyani, the place has also a gained a standing as the go-to mamak for a midnight cheese naan snack.

Remember to order a side of their pretty juicy tandoori chicken and an extra plate of mint chutney, apparently it's to die for!

4. Restoran Beriani Asif

Address: 9, Jalan Padang Walter Grenier (off Jalan Imbi),City Center,Kuala Lumpur, 55100.

Business Hours:11AM to 10PM

Tip:Unlike the other restaurants on these list, Beriani Asif is not a mamak outlet, instead it's a Pakistani restaurant which is well known for its Briyani. However, their cheese naan should really be what their recognised for!

Parking is slightly troublesome as the shop is small and you'll most likely get stuck parking by the roadside. But don't worry the effort will not go to waste once you've savoured this delightful cheese naan with their tender grilled lamb. YUMS!

Fun Fact: Tandoori Chicken gets its name from the clay ovens called ‘Tandoor’ they are cooked in. Naans are also cooked in the 'Tandoor' hence giving it that smoky flavour and slightly charred appearance.

5. Restoran RSMY

Address: D-72A, Plaza Usahawan, Genting Klang, Jalan Danau Niaga 1, Taman Danau Kota, 53300 Kuala Lumpur.

Business Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 11.00AM to 12.00AM
Friday: 11.00AM to 1.00AM
Saturday: 4.00PM to 1.00AM
Sundays and Public Holidays: 4.00PM to 12.00AM

Tip: BEHOLD THE HOLY GRAIL OF CHEESE NAANS! Don't believe us? Watch the video below.

If you're a fan of ooey, gooey, melting cheese, then you HAVE to pay this place a visit. Be prepared for long queues as this place is now a mega-hit among KL-ites but the pain of waiting is definitely worth it.

We're pretty sure that the secret recipe throws in more than just your average cheese (we’re guessing Mozarella) because every bite was just super chewy and yummy. The only bummer though is that the curry and pretty tasty dhal is charged separately from the naan itself.

And once you've got your cheese naan with some tandoori chicken and maybe a side of spicy curry, this list will be your saving grace to calming that fiery bite!
