A woman in Klang recently went viral after uploading a video of herself at a cemetery

On Friday, 21 August, Facebook user Natrah Ismail posted a short clip along with a caption that read, "I had no intentions, there were strong winds when I took the video. After recording it, I listened to it again. God is great. Focus on the wind and the voice. A reminder to myself. Death is certain, life is temporary, and the afterlife is forever. We are human. Footnote: I was alone at the time. Even the tractor wasn't running."

Her video has since garnered over 224,000 views.

In the 15-second clip, Natrah can be seen sitting on a tractor and panning the camera to show the atmosphere of the cemetery when suddenly a mysterious sound is heard

The audio in the background sounds like a person screaming in agony or asking for help. Natrah remains unphased in the video amid the sudden noise.

In another post, she wrote, "If I heard it from the start, I would've already ran a marathon."

When interviewed by Harian Metro, Natrah explained that she is a daughter of a cemetery worker.

"While waiting for my father to arrive, I sat on a tractor and I don't know why but I suddenly felt like recording a video that day. Usually my father would stop me from doing so to respect the dead," she said.

She also noted that the wind was so strong that she did not hear or notice any peculiar noises.

Furthermore, Natrah denies having edited the video. She said, "I myself do not know how to edit videos. This whole time, I only knew how to edit photos."

Netizens are speculating as to what could be the explanation behind the eerie noise

One person said, "I think it sounds like a cat. God knows. There is strong wind after all. A cat does sound like that, I've heard it many times. At night whether it's at my house or my hometown, it would sound like a coarse voice, a child, or a woman crying. Then upon inspection, I would find cats fighting. Sometimes we don't see where they are but there are cats everywhere."

Another netizen suggested, "Maybe there were empty or exposed graves there? When the wind blows against the empty space, it would produce a sound or a repeated echo. God knows."

"It's the sound of a bird, it must be an animal. Don't be ridiculous. There must be an animal. Who would scream at a cemetery? There's no one there, only headstones. The bodies are 7ft underground. You must watch a lot of viral videos about voices in a grave to believe something like this. If the intention is to make people repent, then it's acceptable," read another comment.
