A woman recently went viral after being mistaken for putting up a white flag while she was drying her curtains

TikTok user Aishah Sazali uploaded a video on Saturday, 3 July.

Her short clip has since garnered over 1.3 million views and 145,000 likes.

In the clip, Aisyah noted that she forgot about the #BenderaPutih movement that has recently taken Malaysia by storm.

The residents' committee then reached out to her family out of concern for their welfare.

Her father's voice can be heard in the video saying, "That's my daughter's curtains!"

"I didn't remember about the campaign when I was hanging my curtains to dry," the user wrote.

"But it's good that they care. Sorry, I'll hang it somewhere else later."

Netizens were amused by the video and several people said that they've been in the same situation

"Hahaha same as me sis. I was drying my white bedsheets on the gate, suddenly someone knocked on my door and asked if I needed help," one person commented.
