At 95, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad continues to surprise.
His latest endeavour? We'll give you a hint: it has nothing to do with politics.
As of yesterday, 5 August, the nonagenarian has officially joined TikTok.
Just as his bio reads, Dr Mahathir is indeed proving that he is "still young".
He has already gained 38,500 followers at the time of writing this.
Keeping up with the latest trends, Dr Mahathir and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary by recreating an old photo of theirs
The couple can be seen giggling as they huddled closer to one another.
As the chorus of Simple Plan's I'm Just A Kid plays in the background, the video seamlessly transitions to a black and white photo of Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah as their younger selves.
Soon after, behind-the-scenes footage of the pair getting ready to film the video is shown as the music switches to Doris Day's soothing number If I Give My Heart To You.
Towards the end of Dr Mahathir's first TikTok post, he can be seen writing a sweet letter dedicated to his wife
Known for shying away from public displays of affection, the Langkawi Member of Parliament (MP) decided to step outside of his comfort zone with a public message to Dr Siti Hasmah.
"But we have been married 64 years. I think it is worth celebrating our tolerance for each other and other feelings."
The note was later used as a Twitter caption accompanying three candid photos of the duo looking out at the ocean just as the sun was setting.
