Puffins are gaining attention on Chinese social media because they look so much like a stuffed toy
A particular video clip of a puffin posted on Weibo has netizens flocking to the comments to share their thoughts on the bird
From the moment the puffin emerged from its burrow, many netizen almost mistook the animal for a stuffed toy.
"I thought it was fake," one netizen commented.
With its round, fluffy appearance, the bird arguably possesses an unreal, almost Photoshop-like quality about the animal.
"It has a 'plasticky' face," another added.
"Nature is just too fascinating," another said.
Many netizens have pointed out that the bird bears a striking resemblance to Blitz-Blotz, a character from the popular Japanese franchise, Ultraman
