A Penang doctor's wedding anniversary celebration turned into a life-changing windfall after he won the RM11.77 million Toto 4D Jackpot 1 prize
According to the New Straits Times, the 53-year-old punter purchased the winning numbers – 4486 and 5704 – using numbers from his wedding anniversary dinner receipt.
Overjoyed by his win, the doctor shared, "I understand now why the Cantonese have a saying that goes, 'If you love your wife, you will become rich'."
The doctor's ticket was a System 3 purchase, winning him RM11,768,682.70 and an additional RM336 from a System Play bonus
The doctor intends to share his newfound fortune with his siblings and save the rest for his children's future.
The remaining prize pool of RM219,975.30 was won by an i-System player from Sarawak.
