Monitor Lizard Casually Joins Malaysians On A Waterfall 'Slide'
WheeeEeeE oh no.
A wild monitor lizard recently decided to join a group of Malaysians who were having the time of their lives at a waterfall
TikTok user @sueiffat posted a video showing several people enjoying a natural rock slide at a waterfall in Malaysia.
As everyone happily slipped and splashed their way down the smooth rocks, a monitor lizard suddenly showed up, as if to say, "Me too!"
Without any hesitation, the lizard crawled onto the smooth rock surface and slid right down like a pro
No screaming, no hesitation — just pure confidence (with maybe a teeny bit of panic).
Iconic behaviour, honestly.
Since being posted, the video has racked up over 3.2 million views, and Malaysians in the comments are absolutely loving it
"You guys never say hello," one person joked, while another commented, "Woii, y'all didn't invite me to swim?", imagining what the lizard must've been thinking.
"Monitor lizard be like: I wanna play too!" wrote one person.
In case you didn't know, monitor lizards are actually excellent swimmers and are usually pretty shy unless provoked
They can hold their breath underwater for quite a while and often glide through rivers and lakes like it's no big deal — so this little guy was definitely in his element.
So, the next time you're planning a day at the waterfall, maybe leave an extra spot in the queue. You never know when nature might want to join the fun. Hehe.
