Employees at a research centre in China recently threw a birthday bash for 18 panda cubs to celebrate the cubs turning one year old
The birthday bash that saw 9 male and 9 female cubs, including three pairs of twins took place at the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda in Sichuan, China on 25 July.
The staff had cute colourful decorations and presents adorn the sanctuary
They even prepared birthday fruit cakes for the cubs to enjoy!
The research centre also invited fans of the panda cubs to celebrate with them.
According to Go Chengdu, all 18 cubs are to turn one year old between June and September this year
The cubs are heavily reliant on milk, as they are just entering their teething stage.
To allow the cubs to grind their developing teeth, the research facility supplements their diet with two meals of tender bamboo shoot tips every day
To ensure the panda cubs are growing well, breeders at the research centre are always monitoring them closely
The research centre has veterinarians conducting physical examinations on the cubs regularly.
