Of course, not ALL programmers are like that - it is after all a stereotype. But some IT companies in China are taking this rather seriously.
According to a Facebook post uploaded by Trending In China, IT companies in China are hiring cheerleaders to help create a fun and energetic working environment

According to an HR manager, many male programmers have difficulties in relaxing at work and are terrible at social life
"According to the HR manager of an Internet company that hired three such cheerleaders, programmers are mostly male and terrible at socialising, and the presence of these girls have greatly improved their job efficiency and motivation," the description says.
