Especially when there were guests over and you knew everyone was having a good time, but then mum or dad ruined the moment by telling you that it's time to take a nap?

Looking very much unwilling in a set of jammies, the cat is seen smooshing its head and tiny ears into its small owner's tummy.
Just like a kid hoping that mum would change her mind.
Twitter user @ulat_bulu_bulu tweeted the photos yesterday, 3 February, and it has since been retweeted nearly 4,000 times.
But like every parent who knows when their kid is usually fighting sleep, the cat is seen eventually knocked out in one of the photos
