The lip tint labelled 'nude' also isn't exactly nude.

Recently, a tweet went viral for showing the pretty absurd way an online seller was swatching the lip tint they had in stock

Just for comparison's sake, here is how a regular person or makeup seller would swatch lipstick to demonstrate its colour when applied against different skin tones:

However, on Sunday, 12 July, Twitter user @ejakkku found a Facebook seller who had coloured their whole arm in the lip tints they had for sale

"Lip tint for sale! Beauty you did not expect," reads the Facebook post that was translated from Tagalog.

Even more hilariously, the shade the seller labelled as 'nude' definitely doesn't look like any human skin colour.

We are pretty sure that is actually maroon.

The tweet has since gone viral, receiving over 40,000 likes and more than 18,000 retweets and comments

In the replies, netizens were having a ball over the seller's unconventional way of swatching.

"Do you want to sell lipstick or paint?" cried this netizen.

Looking at the sheer amount of lip tint used, this Twitter user said, "By the time it reaches the buyer, the bottle will only be half full."

While another user joked, "This is just the tester and they've already finished a bottle."

And finally, someone also pointed out the obvious.

Online shopping is definitely an adventure of sorts:
