AEON Hilariously Reassures Customers That They Don't Sell Seasonings Containing Pork

A video of a Malaysian woman claiming that cajun seasonings contain pork after misreading the labels recently went viral online
In the one-minute video, the woman tries to warn other Malaysians to carefully read the labels when purchasing spices at any grocery store.
"If you look at this cajun seasoning, the ingredients contain pork," said the woman.
However, throughout the video, the woman failed to realise that she read the labels incorrectly.
She was reading the 'use on' suggestions, instead of reading the ingredients on the label.
Following the viral video, many Malaysians took to social media to share memes inspired by the situation
Not wanting to be left behind on the trend, local retailer AEON joined in on the fun by posting a hilarious meme on their Facebook page.
AEON shared a photo of a bottle of McCormick's Mixed Spice along with the caption, "Suitable for marination only if you have proper English 'edukesyen' (education)."
Malaysians were amused by the post and praised the retailer for their sense of humour
Many users appear to appreciate AEON's short and simple punchline.
One user commented that this should serve as a lesson to all Malaysians to carefully read labels before posting anything.
"You end up being mocked by big companies," they wrote.
Meanwhile, one user suggested that AEON move those seasonings to the non-halal section.
"Yes, we will take this matter seriously, of course, we cannot mix non-halal with halal ingredients. It is against our policy and standard practice," the retailer replied.
