Released in June this year, the Korean movie is exciting from start to finish and full of twists.

At South Korean box offices, The Witch: Part 2. The Other One opened at number one, then went on to surpass one million admissions after four days, and two million after eleven days.

Having grossed US$21.64 million (approximately RM97.46 million at the time of writing) and gained 2.8 million viewers, it is currently the fifth highest-grossing Korean film of 2022.

Waking up in a huge secret laboratory, the girl makes her escape, only to stumble upon another girl named Kyung Hee, who is trying to protect her home from a criminal organisation.

The girl helps Kyung Hee, overpowering the criminals with her incredible powers. But soon, she starts being chased by people from the secret lab.

Who is this mysterious girl and why is she being chased?

If you're wondering why the movie title sounds familiar, that's because it's the long-awaited sequel to The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion

Released in 2018, the first movie was also quite popular, earning itself a multitude of fans who have been waiting with bated breath for the sequel.

We won't spoil you in case you haven't watched the first one, but here's a brief summary:

After a violent incident that leaves many dead, a young girl escapes from a mysterious laboratory. 10 years later, though she has superpowers, she is living peacefully with no memories of her dark past. What happens when her past starts to catch up with her?

Even if you didn't watch the first one, the second one is definitely still a must-watch!

The Witch: Part 2. The Other One stars Shin Si Ah, Jo Min Su, Park Eun Bin, and Lee Jong Suk, among other Korean actors

If you've watched the recent hit K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, you'll definitely recognise Park Eun Bin from her amazing portrayal of Woo Young Woo, an autistic lawyer. Otherwise, you may know her from her roles in other popular K-dramas like Hello, My Twenties!, Hot Stove League, Do You Like Brahms?, and The King's Affection.

Joining her are Jo Min Su, who is returning to reprise her role from the first movie, and Shin Si Ah, who will be making her debut with this movie.

Meanwhile, Park Hoon Jung is the film's director and screenwriter. His previous notable works include writing the screenplays for I Saw the Devil and The Unjust, as well as directing New World, all three of which are exciting crime action movies.
