Famed American television game show Family Feud has officially landed in Malaysia, and is representing a diverse range of versions for the Malaysian audience

Long-time television game show Family Feud has been a staple in many households around the world for decades. Originally starting in 1976, the show has gone through many iterations with numerous hosts taking up the task of providing families across the US with an opportunity to win cash prizes.

And after all these years, the series has finally made its way to Malaysia!

Partnering with one of the main production companies overseeing the show, Fremantle, Malaysian satellite television company Astro has acquired the gameshow format to produce local versions in three different languages: Bahasa Malaysia, Tamil, and English.

The show will also feature three different hosts for each language of the show. Comedian and emcee Douglas Lim will be the host for the English version, while radio announcer and actor Nabil Ahmad will be presenting the Bahasa Malaysia version. Wrapping it together, host and RAAGA FM presenter Ram is said to be headlining the Tamil rendition.

Additionally, the series will also be curating a celebrity edition that will feature notable personalities across Malaysia. In this series, which will also be hosted by Nabil Ahmad, the winnings will be donated to selected charities.

Celebrating the success of this series, legendary comedian and host of Family Feud in the US, Steve Harvey, sent a congratulatory message to Malaysia for the announcement

In a 25-second clip that was posted to Gempak's YouTube page, Harvey praised the show for its diverse presentation in three different languages.

"You know I'm really flattered to hear that you have your very own Steve Harvey in all your different language versions. But let me tell you, there is only one Steve Harvey — and that is me," he said in a light-hearted manner.

Closing off his thoughts, Harvey wished the series well for its future.

"So to all of you out there in Malaysia, I say Malaysia Boleh! Good luck with your shows, and I'll be watching you!" the host stated.
