[PHOTOS] 15 Things We Did Not Expect To See At Urbanscapes 2014

Urbanscapes is like playground for the creative, quirky and wacky personalities of Malaysia, and it's no shock that you would find bizarre things at the festival. However, it still somehow managed to surprise us with its weird and wonderful ways.

1. Being greeted by the mayor of North Bangsar, His Graceful Esteemed Leader Jon Mayor, all dressed up in his official getup for maximum effect (that's actually Kuah Jenhan)

2. He was riding a pony named Pony Eusoff

3. We were definitely perplexed by the zoo at North Bangsar, complete with such an exquisite collection of animals

4. Our personal favourite, however would have to be Jon Mayor's personal pet, a Live Male Chauvinist Pig! I know, we want one too.

5. Who would have thought that controversial cartoonist Zunar would be there in the flesh? We had to try very hard to contain our excitement.

6. Zunar doesn't go to prison. Prison goes to Zunar. And he brought it along with him to Urbanscapes.

7. It's the end of the road (har har) for these 8 Jalan

8. You know how parents always tell you not to play with your cutleries? Well, it's definitely encouraged in Urbanscapes.

9. Jesus may have turned water into wine, but can he turn it into music like this bizarre experimental contraption can?!

10. We found a strangely large block of Jenga tower that is the size of a child

11. These insanely adorable superhero kids. We can't tell if we like the kids more or the parents for allowing this awesomeness to happen.

12. Then there's this dude in a pink rabbit onesie with velcro strips all over his body. It's not just you, our brains were confused too.

13. Forget about the crystal ball in a dim-lit tent filled with smoke from scented candles. Tarot poetry is where it's at (it's also freakishly accurate. We cannot handle).

14. Our tastebuds were pleasantly surprised by these familiar tasting food being presented in unconventional forms. Major props to The Kitchen Table!

15. We expected Kimbra. We expected Kimbra prancing around on stage. We did not expect Kimbra showing up looking like tin foil.

Urbanscapes surely does not disappoint when it comes to putting on an entertaining show:
