Malaysia's Lingling Debuts In K-Pop Girl Group KIIRAS With First Single 'Kill Ma Bo$$'
The 20-year-old from Klang is the leader and lead vocalist of the group.
Alicia Wong Lingling has officially made history as Malaysia's first female K-pop idol, debuting last night with girl group KIIRAS and their first single, Kill Ma Bo$$
The Klang-born 20-year-old leads the six-member group — alongside Harin, Kurumi, Kylie, Doyeon, and Roah — in a playful Americana country-themed music video that has already surpassed one million views at the time of writing.
Lingling has been named both leader and lead vocalist of KIIRAS, marking a major milestone in her journey from reality show contestant to full-fledged idol
She first rose to prominence as the only Southeast Asian participant on I-LAND 2: N/A, the South Korean survival show known for creating K-pop boy group ENHYPEN in its first season.
Fluent in Korean, English, Chinese, and Bahasa Melayu, her dedication and charm won over fans, especially her motto: "I will work hard to become the first female idol from Malaysia!"
According to the New Straits Times, although she was eliminated midway through the competition, Lingling was soon signed by South Korean entertainment agency, LeanBranding, which formed KIIRAS.
