Linkin Park has officially introduced a new female vocalist, marking an exciting chapter for the band as they embrace a fresh sound

Seven years after the tragic passing of frontman Chester Bennington, which profoundly affected fans and the global music community, the band is now stepping forward with renewed energy.

The new co-vocalist, Emily Armstrong, hails from the US rock band Dead Sara and was handpicked by band members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Dave Farrell.

In another significant update, Colin Brittain, a songwriter and producer known for his work with G Flip, has been announced as the band's new drummer, as original drummer Rob Bourdon will not be returning

"Rob had said to us at a point, I guess it was a few years ago now, that he wanted to put some distance between himself and the band. And we understood that — it was already apparent," Shinoda shared in an interview with Billboard.

"So for me, as a friend, that was sad, but at the same time, I want him to do whatever makes him happy, and obviously everybody wishes him the best."
