ICYMI, the Oscars a.k.a. the 90th Annual Academy Awards wrapped up on Sunday night, hence ending the 2017/2018 awards season in Hollywood

Gary Oldman won his first ever Oscar as Winston Churchill in 'Darkest Hour', while Frances McDormand ('Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri') unsurprisingly clinched the Best Actress award. Best Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor went to Allison Janney ('I, Tonya') and Sam Rockwell ('Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri') respectively.

1. The regal cast of 'Black Panther' showed up to the red carpet looking like they owned the whole of Hollywood. Not that we'd mind, coz #WakandaForever.

2. Betty Gabriel, who plays Georgina in 'Get Out', looks almost unrecognisable and totally gorgeous in this teal and gold gown
This is Betty as the uber creepy Georgina in 'Get Out':
3. Screenwriter James Ivory wore a shirt with 'Call Me By Your Name' breakout star Timothée Chalamet's face on it. #woke
The 89-year-old also won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay ('Call Me By Your Name'), making him the oldest Oscar winner of all time.
4. Whoever designed the stage for this year's Oscars deserves their own Academy Award for this dazzling display

FUN FACT: The extravagant set was built with 45 million Swarovski crystals, took 3,250 hours to complete, and weighed 15,000 pounds.
... And introduced a new way to play off winners who are taking too long with their acceptance speeches
6. All envelopes were clearly labelled with their respective categories, because y'know, the 'La La Land' mix-up.
7. But then there were some awkward moments when winners had to put their Oscars on the ground coz there was no podium...?
8. In a bizarre turn of events, a jet ski presented by Dame Helen Mirren was apparently put up for grabs
The jet ski went to Mark Bridges, who won Best Costume Design for 'Phantom Thread', because his acceptance speech only clocked in at 36 seconds.
9. Jordan Peele, director and writer of 'Get Out', became the first African-American to win an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay
10. Presenters Lupita Nyong'o and Kumail Nanjiani - who are both immigrants - pledged their support to DREAMers who are awaiting opportunities to obtain permanent US citizenship
11. Marvel and DC collided when Chadwick Boseman and Margot Robbie went onstage to present the Best Adapted Screenplay award
For context, Chadwick Boseman plays the titular character in 'Black Panther' and Margot Robbie made 'Suicide Squad' bearable as Harley Quinn.
12. GUYS, BB-8 WAS AT THE OSCARS TOO.
The cute droid joined fellow 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' cast members Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, and Kelly Marie Tran to present the 'Best Animated Feature Film' award to Disney's 'Coco'.
13. On that note - the set design for Miguel and Natalia LaFourcade's performance of 'Remember Me' is sooooo vibrant I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH. :')
14. For some reason, the two Guillermos (as in, del Toro and Jimmy Kimmel's "sidekick") led an entourage of celebrities carrying candy and sandwiches...
15. Heels in hand, comedians Maya Rudolph and Tiffany Haddish strolled onstage barefoot and wearing Uggs respectively. #mood
16. Kobe Bryant is now an Oscar award-winning writer for his contributions to the animated short 'Dear Basketball'
17. Fulfilling a promise made to their six-year-old lead, writer and star of 'The Silent Child', Rachel Shenton, used sign language to deliver her acceptance speech

Shenton - along with fiancé Chris Overton, who directed the short - took home the award for Best Live Action Short Film with 'The Silent Child'.
The short narrates the story of a four-year-old deaf girl who lives her life in silence until a social worker teaches her how to communicate using British Sign Language.
18. Frances McDormand hailed her fellow female nominees in her acceptance speech
"Look around, everybody, because we all have stories to tell and projects we need financed. Don’t talk to us at the parties tonight, invite us into your office in a couple days, or you can come to ours. "
