"My First Time Seeing A Monorail" — Famous Train Enthusiast Visits Malaysia In Travel Show
Malaysia is the first Asian country Francis Bourgeois has ever visited.
If you love trains, you've probably heard of Francis Bourgeois, the UK-based train enthusiast with a massive 3.3 million followers on TikTok
His passion for railways has taken him across the world, and now, for the first time, he's made his way to Asia!
In an upcoming episode of The Travel Show on BBC, airing 29 March, Francis explores Malaysia's rich railway heritage and — believe it or not — sees a monorail for the first time!
"I've never been to Asia before, and it's going to be an experience like no other!" exclaims the passionate train spotter, who's been obsessed with railways since childhood, in a recent video shared by BBC Travel Show.
His adventure begins with one of Southeast Asia's most stunning train journeys: the Jungle Railway
From there, he travels to Kuala Lumpur, where he meets up with local train enthusiasts to talk all things rail. And of course, his visit wouldn't be complete without checking out Malaysia's 140-year-old railway network!
Francis then heads to Penang Island, arriving just in time to soak in the vibrant Chinese New Year celebrations.
