Local Action Hit 'Blood Brothers' Earns RM9 Million In 2 Days Of Box Office Opening
Many have called the film the new benchmark for local action cinema.
Action-packed film Blood Brothers: Bara Naga has taken the local box office by storm, pulling in an impressive RM9.2 million in just two days of early and official screenings!
Released on 8 April in 170 cinemas nationwide, the film, which was one of the most anticipated local action films this year, has quickly become one of the widest local releases to date.
Directed by powerhouse duo Syafiq Yusof and Abhilash Chandra, Blood Brothers has received an overwhelming response from audiences across the country, with Selangor, Johor, Kedah, Pahang, and Terengganu recording the highest viewership.
"This incredible achievement not only proves the warm reception for high-quality local productions, but also shows that a story packed with action, emotion, and themes of brotherhood still holds a special place in the hearts of Malaysians," said producers Skop Productions and Primeworks Studios in a joint statement.

Local film critic Abang Riak described the movie as "Syafiq Yusof's best work yet", applauding its flawless blend of action, scripting, pacing, technical execution, and visuals.
"Every element fits perfectly, and I honestly couldn't find anything to criticise. The fight scenes are of international caliber — brutal, tight, and impactful. Absolutely next-level!" he said.
Meanwhile, film review page Suka Filem said, "Blood Brothers isn't just a movie; it's an explosion of emotion and action that doesn't give you a moment to breathe!"
"This time, Syafiq Yusof really stepped out of his comfort zone. He takes the audience deep into a sea of emotions — from grief and burning rage to soul-crushing vengeance and small, tender moments that tug at the heart," it added.
