BLACKPINK Announces World Tour With Stops In Singapore, Bangkok & Jakarta, But No Malaysia
Stay strong, Malaysian BLINKs. :(
After a two-year gap since their Born Pink tour, BLACKPINK is finally going to be "in your area" again, just not in our area
BLACKPINK recently shared their long-awaited list of dates for their upcoming DEADLINE tour, with several countries around the world making the lineup.
Their tour will cover a total of 16 countries, including France and Italy as part of the European leg.
For their Asian leg, there are seven stops: Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Tokyo, China, Singapore, and Malays- oh wait.
Malaysia isn't on the list, unfortunately. :(
The girl group will be performing in some of our neighbouring countries, namely Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. So close yet so far.
BLACKPINK has performed in Malaysia twice before
In 2019, they made their Malaysia debut at Malawati Stadium, Shah Alam.
In 2023, they returned, but performed at National Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur instead.
Since many touring artistes have a history of adding dates to their tour, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that the third time's the charm.
Apart from prepping for the upcoming tour, the BLACKPINK girls have been making waves with their solo projects
Jennie released her debut solo studio album, Ruby, back in March, with hit tracks such as Like Jennie and ExtraL (feat. Doechii) earning placements on the charts.
Rosé has previously released her solo studio album, Rosie. The YouTube music video for APT., her duet with Bruno Mars, racked up over a billion views.
Jisoo has held her own too, with the recent release of her new EP, Amortage. She was also praised highly for the bold production and eye-catching visuals in her Earthquake music video.
Finally, Lisa dropped her debut solo studio album, Alter Ego, which includes bangers such as New Woman with Rosalía and FXCK UP THE WORLD. She also made her acting debut on Season 3 of The White Lotus.
