Stage props are intricately handcrafted with wood carvings and remodelled plastics, while each costume is decked out with metal bits and bobs for a touch of the 'Victorian with an attitude' experience.

2. The cast and crew are made up of an all-volunteer team from all ages and walks of life. In fact, for many of them, this is their first time getting involved in a play production... and even performing onstage!

The Actspressions production team may be made up of members from different ages (11 to 55 years old), but they are brought together and driven by their passion for live arts and theatre.

While some are familiar with the world of theatre, many are doing this for the first time. Some of the cast members have never had any acting experience on the public stage but have managed to work hard and bring out their character in less than the usual time it takes to put something like this together!

3. This homegrown production is 100% original, including the music score, a brand new theme song, and a screenplay that's an age-appropriate blend of comedy and drama

It's a simple yet heartwarming story filled with comedy, drama and many moments that an audience from all walks of life can relate to, with meaningful takeaways for both kids and adults.

Pro tip for parents: Bring along your kids (aged 7 and up) and invite some friends along for the ride!
