'Upin & Ipin' Open World Game Will Be Playable On PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 & PS5

Les' Copaque Productions is taking its beloved Upin & Ipin franchise to the next level with its first-ever open-world game for console and PC
The video game, titled Upin & Ipin Universe, is based on the iconic twin brothers and is slated for release in September 2025.
Developed by Streamline Studios using Unreal Engine 5, the game marks a major leap for Upin & Ipin, blending kampung life with next-generation gaming.
"For years, Upin & Ipin has been about celebrating family, friendship, and community," Les' Copaque Managing Director Haji Burhanuddin Md Radzi said told Bernama.
"This partnership with Streamline Media Group allows us to extend our storytelling into an entirely new medium, giving fans the chance to engage with Upin and Ipin’s world like never before."
The video game, co-published under Streamline Media Group's banner, features farming, racing, fishing, critter catching, cooking and gasing

In short, the video game promises a rich, exploration-driven experience rooted in Southeast Asian culture
"We recognised this as an opportunity to expand the franchise into a fully realised open-world experience," said Streamline CEO Alexander Fernandez in a press release, calling it a "transformative project" for regional content.
The game is being produced with a RM15 million budget, and Burhanuddin expects it to resonate not just in Malaysia but especially in Indonesia, where the series enjoys nine hours of daily broadcast on MNCTV.
The franchise continues to bring in revenue through advertising and is now streamed in over 100 countries on platforms like Netflix and Disney+

Les' Copaque is also preparing to open an Upin & Ipin theme park in Alor Gajah, Melaka, with a RM700 million investment.
Slated to open from 2026, it’s expected to boost regional tourism.
