This Startup In China Is Working On Flying Cars To Solve Traffic Jam Issues

Remember back in the early '90s when we thought flying cars would be the norm by 2020?
Well, although it didn't quite happen like we envisioned, this technology startup in China is slowly inching towards that goal.
Called XPENG AEHROHT, the company brands itself as the largest flying car company in Asia.
The company is dedicated to integrating intelligent vehicles and modern aviation by producing safe and smart flying cars for individual users.
Essentially, their cars are not only made for flying, but will be equipped with wheels and can be driven on the road too

In fact, according to a report by Bloomberg, the vehicles made by XPENG AEHROHT are meant to be driven on the road 90% of the time. The only time they are meant to fly is when there are road obstructions and traffic jams.
According to the founder, He Xiaopeng, the official car could be slated for mass production as soon as 2025, and it will be equipped with four electric engines and eight propellers.

The founder also expects that the car will cost USD160,000 (roughly RM628,180) once it launches

According to TechWireAsia, they will tap into XPENG AEHROHT's extensive network of suppliers in China.
It'll probably be a while before we see any flying cars in Malaysia.
