A Singaporean Facebook page, Singapore Shout-out, has alleged in a recent post that a taxi driver assaulted a man in Johor Bahru

According to the Facebook post, the man approached the taxi driver to ask how much he would charge for a trip to Larkin Sentral, to which the driver replied that he would be charging RM60.

The passenger felt like he was being overcharged for the taxi ride and went on to ask other drivers how much they would charge for the same trip.

According to the Singapore Shout-out post, the taxi driver was unsatisfied that the man didn't want to pay the price he quoted, and then allegedly proceeded to follow the passenger and ask him how much he thought he should be charged for the trip.

The passenger replied that Grab was only charging RM12 for the same trip, noting that it was unreasonable for the driver to charge RM60, the post claims.

Annoyed by his answer, the driver shouted at him, and they quickly got into an argument, the Facebook post alleged

During the altercation, the driver allegedly strangled the passenger, forcing the man to shout for help.

Moments later, a few police officers came and asked the driver to let go of the man.

The Facebook post also alleged that other drivers who saw the argument did nothing to stop the two from fighting.

To make matters worse, the other drivers allegedly only laughed when the man asked them to be witnesses to the incident when the police interrogated them.

At the time of writing, the post has since been shared over 1,053 times.
