The police have arrested five men for rioting at a Songkran Festival event held at the parking lot in 1 Utama Shopping Centre

According to Buletin TV3, Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Shahrulnizam Ja'afar said all five male suspects, aged between 20 and 30, were detained at various locations around Damansara at midnight today, 22 April.

The incident is believed to have stemmed from a dispute over refilling water pistols used during the event.

"They were provided with water pistols at the Songkran Festival. This group then cut in line while others were waiting to refill their water pistols.

"This caused dissatisfaction, leading to arguments and eventually a brawl," Shahrulnizam said when contacted.
