The father of a Form Two student has lodged a police report after his daughter was allegedly threatened with rape by a classmate

The girl's father took to Facebook to share details of the alleged incident that took place last Friday, 16 December, at a school in Shah Alam.

The father claimed that his daughter and her friends were sitting in the school's foyer when they noticed a boy staring at them inappropriately.

After the group confronted him, the father said the boy allegedly responded by asking if they wanted to be raped before leaving the area.

Shocked by the threat, the father said his daughter and her friends warned the boy about reporting his behaviour to the teachers

"The boy replied, 'If you report me, I will rape you,'" the father wrote.

The man said his daughter reacted by hitting the boy's arm with a water bottle.

"The boy immediately grabbed and shook [her] head, tore her hijab, and hit the upper part of [her] chest. He then ran away," the man claimed.

After the incident, the girl's father attempted to locate the boy at school but was informed by several teachers that he was autistic

The teachers also told him that several reports had been filed against the boy in the past for inappropriate behaviour.

"The teachers reacted as if my daughter and I had made a big mistake in [confronting him]," he said.

"Is he exempt from facing consequences for acts of violence and sexual assault just because he is autistic?" the father questioned.

The man concluded his Facebook post by saying that he and his daughter have lodged a police report regarding the incident.

Police said they are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter

According to Sinar Harian, district police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the girl, who sustained injuries to her chest, will be asked to give a statement to the police.

"At the moment, the victim is receiving treatment at University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) for the injuries she sustained," Sinar Harian quoted him as saying.

Mohd Iqbal added that the case is being investigated under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. If found guilty, the suspect could face up to 20 years in prison and caning.
