People Have Made A Fan Club For This 22-Year-Old Suspect In The Orchard Towers Murder

Her name saw an uptick in Google searches within a day of the suspects' arrests.

On 2 July, 31-year-old Satheesh Noel Gobidass died following a brawl at Orchard Towers, Singapore

Satheesh was found lying in a pool of blood by bystanders at around 6.25am at the entrance of Orchard Towers, The Straits Times reported.

The altercation was believed to have started in the Naughty Girl club on the second floor of the building.

He was pronounced dead at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital at 7.25am.

Eight suspects were arrested within 12 hours after the incident

On 4 July, seven of the eight were charged with one count each of murder with common intention.

The accused - 22-year-old Natalie Siow Yu Zhen, 26-year-old Joel Tan Yun Sheng, 26-year-old Chan Jia Xing, 26-year-old Ang Da Yuan, 27-year-old Tan Sen Yang, 25-year-old Loo Boon Chong, and 22-year-old Tan Hong Sheng - will return to court on 11 July.

Offenders convicted of murder will face the death penalty.

Since news of the tragedy and subsequent arrests broke, one of the suspects has garnered more attention than the others.

22-year-old Natalie Siow's name saw an uptick in Google searches.

According to Mothership, when the first few letters of her name was typed into Google search in Singapore, the search query automatically suggests 'Natalie Siow', even when done in incognito mode.

Natalie's full name was also picked up by Google Trends
, which showed other similar queries for her social media profiles.

Within hours, a Natalie Siow Yu Zen Fan Club thread was made on Hardwarezone. "She is just an innocent bystander! Justice for Natalie!" the caption read.

Several netizens chimed in on the forum in her defence or with lewd comments, while others shared links to her social media platforms after discovering them.

However, several netizens argued that all suspects should receive the same treatment and punishment if convicted of the crime
