PDRM Is Investigating Fake COVID-19 Vaccination Certificates Being Sold Online
The issue came to light after a doctor from Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital took to Facebook to report the listings he saw online.

The police have initiated an investigation into claims of fake digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates being promoted and sold online
According to Bernama, Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said that the police recently received a report regarding the matter.
"Investigations are currently being conducted under Section 22 (d) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1988," he said.
He reminded the public not to get involved in falsifying and selling digital vaccine certificates. Besides that, he also urged those with information about the incident to contact the nearest police stations.

This came after a viral Facebook post by Datuk Dr Mohd Rushdan Mohd Noor, obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) head of department and senior consultant at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital.
He claimed that the digital certificates were being sold at RM15 each.
New Straits Times reported that in the post, Dr Mohd Rushdan questioned how authorities could differentiate between genuine and fake digital certificates if the public were allowed to make a vaccination certificate identity card or print the vaccination certificates themselves.
He also uploaded screenshots of the sale listings, which show a physical card displaying a photograph of the holder of the digital certificate as well as the date and location of the vaccine doses given.
However, according to Malaysiakini, Dr Mohd Rushdan's post has been removed.

Previously, the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) clarified that there are no physical COVID-19 vaccination certificates
On 23 July, JKJAV tweeted, "There is no physical vaccination certificate. There's only the digital certificate on MySejahtera and the vaccination card received at the PPV. You will also be able to print your digital certificate soon."
Besides that, National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin also previously stressed that only the Ministry of Health can issue digital vaccination certificates.
"There cannot be any other digital certificate other than the one that appears in MySejahtera," he said to The Star.
