Disturbing footage showed a concerned mother recently feeding her teenage son because he refused to take a break during a 48-hour marathon gaming session

37-year-old Lilybeth Marvel was seen coaxing 13-year-old Carlito Garcia to eat, while his zombie-like eyes were glued to a computer screen playing games at an Internet cafe in Nueva Ecija, Philippines.

"My poor child… Here, eat now," she said in Tagalog translated by the Daily Mail.

"You have so much money, it might take till tomorrow for you to get home. Are you still needing to pee? My goodness just feel sorry for my child. You are so irritating."

She even asked the boy if he would like to take vitamins his grandmother sent him because she was worried that he would be malnourished.

The boy's chronic gaming addiction has become so severe the past few years that his parents decided to remove him from school

For the past two years, Lilybeth said that she has been worried because her son started to stay back late at the Internet cafe to play a battle royale game called 'Rules of Survival'.

"My husband and I decided that he should stop schooling first because of his addiction. Now we're trying our best to manage the situation but it is still difficult."

Concerned for her son's well-being, Lilybeth has now pleaded online for help, Daily Mail reported.

The distraught mother revealed that her previous methods to make him quit his addiction have failed

"I used to nag about his online games. But that didn't work. So I'm trying a different approach," she said.

"I try to make him feel that whatever is happening in his life, I am his mother who loves him and takes care of him," she said, according to HopClear.
