Heads Up: First Term School Break Will Be 12 Days Long This Year & It Includes Raya Haji!
Time to start planning where to take the kids for a holiday.
According to the Education Ministry's 2025/2026 Academic Calendar, the dates for the Term 1 school holidays this year will be from 29 May to 9 June
This means students will get a total of 12 days off!
Even better, the break will include the celebration of Hari Raya Aidiladha (Hari Raya Haji), which is expected to fall on Saturday, 7 June.
This longer holiday will be a welcome break for both teachers and students after a busy school schedule.

Although the minsitry's Academic Calendar normally separates states into Group A and Group B, this time around, the Term 1 holidays fall on the same dates for schools in all states
Group A consists of schools in Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu.
Meanwhile, Group B includes schools in Melaka, Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya.
