Malaysians To Enjoy Toll-Free Highway Travel For 2 Days Before Deepavali
The exemption will be effective from 12:01am, 29 October until 11:59pm, 30 October.
The government has announced a toll exemption in conjunction with the Deepavali holiday
According to Malay Mail, the exemption will be effective from 12:01am, 29 October until 11:59pm, 30 October.
"The exemption applies to all Class 1 private vehicles across Malaysian toll plazas, except at the Sultan Iskandar Building on the North-South Expressway and Tanjung Kupang on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link," stated Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Lingi.

According to the minister, the government will compensate toll concessionaires for the initiative, expected to cost the government RM38 million
"This toll exemption aligns with the Madani principles of well-being and compassion, providing financial relief and promoting harmonious celebrations across Malaysia's diverse communities," he added.
The minister wished Malaysians a happy Deepavali and urged drivers to exercise caution, adhere to traffic rules, and take necessary breaks to endure a safe journey.
Malaysia will celebrate the festival of lights this Thursday, 31 October.
