Father Shot In Broad Daylight While Waiting For His Child Outside School In Sibu
The victim sustained injuries to the right side of his back.
A father in his 40s was injured after being shot while waiting to pick up his child outside a school on Jalan Wong King Hou in Sibu yesterday, 24 October
The incident occurred around 2.30pm as the victim was seated in his four-wheel-drive vehicle, as reported by the New Straits Times.
Sibu district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Zulkipli Suhaili, reported that the assailant approached the vehicle and fired shots suspected to be from a pistol.
The victim sustained injuries to the right side of his back.
The unknown assailant fled the scene immediately.
Despite his injuries, the victim exited his vehicle to seek assistance from nearby bystanders before collapsing by the roadside
He was promptly taken to Sibu Hospital for medical treatment.
Police are actively investigating the incident and are in pursuit of the suspect.
