A family of four including two children were found unconscious in a car that crashed into a Bentong toll plaza barrier in Pahang yesterday, 24 April

According to New Straits Times, Bentong district police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the incident occurred at about 2.40pm while the family was on the way back to Balakong, Selangor from Tok Bali, Kelantan.

Zaiham said the family was found by police personnel conducting Op Selamat patrol along the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway, and was quickly assisted by members of the public as well as the toll booth's staff.

"The victims — a man, his wife, and their two children — were carried out of the vehicle and given first aid treatment by medical officers," said the police chief.

It is learned that all victims were brought to Hospital Bentong and have regained consciousness

Zaiham added that the family fell unconscious due to a lack of oxygen in the car.

"A medical examination confirmed they were unconscious due to the lack of oxygen in their bodies.

"The condition caused the vehicle to crash into the toll barrier," he said in a statement on Monday, as quoted by Malay Mail.
