Elderly Man Rams His Myvi Into A Puchong Supermarket And Injures A Fast-Food Worker

Videos of the scene went viral on social media and one of them shows a huge crowd helping to lift and push the car that had trapped a fast-food employee under it.

An elderly man accidentally rammed his car into a supermarket in Puchong around 4.30pm yesterday, 1 September

Serdang district police chief ACP AA Anbalagan told The Star, "The 64-year-old driver was about to leave the parking area when he accidentally stepped on the accelerator and the car rammed into the hypermarket."

A fast-food employee was injured during the incident

AA Anbalagan explained that the car hit the fast-food employee while he was working at the front counter of the outlet.

He then told Harian Metro that the fast-food worker suffered injuries and he was helped by members of the public before being sent to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the elderly driver escaped with no injuries.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987

Photos and videos of the scene went viral on social media and they show that the car ploughed through glass doors.

A huge crowd helped to lift and push the car while the injured fast-food employee was under it.
