According to India Today, the video of the incident was captured at the Jhansi railway station in Bundelkhand, India.

In the video, a man dressed in a blue T-shirt and jeans is seen frantically trying to catch a moving Rajdhani Express train while pulling his Golden Retriever by the leash.

The dog resisted its owner's efforts to chase the train, pressing its hind legs downwards against the edge of the platform.

In his haste, the man attempted to hoist his visibly distressed dog onto the moving carriage by the collar of its leash.

As the train pulled away, the dog couldn't keep pace, and its hind legs slipped into the dangerous gap between the train and the platform edge

With its body grazing against the moving train, the canine tumbled off the platform, falling down onto the tracks and disappearing from view.

Several onlookers on the platform immediately rushed towards the owner, peering down at the tracks in disbelief as the train accelerated and the video abruptly ends.

However, the dog managed to emerge unscathed, having crawled underneath the train

A railway officer at Jhansi station confirmed the incident, assuring that the train was stopped to rescue the dog, which was completely safe, the Punjab Kesari reported.

The shocking incident sparked widespread outrage online, with many calling for the owner to be held accountable for his actions
