41-Year-Old Mechanic Charged For Hitting His Wife Who Said No To Sex
He may face up to 14 years in jail if found guilty.
41-year-old Syed Fakrulrazi Syed Abdul Rahman has been charged for striking his wife at their home in Taman Tanjung Minyak Perdana, Melaka after she refused to engage in sexual intercourse with him
According to Berita Harian, he assaulted his 33-year-old wife by slamming his head against her nose, and threatened her life for refusing his advances on 12 February.
Yesterday, 6 June, his charges were read to him by a translator at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court before Judge Darmafikri Abu Adam.
If found guilty under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt, which is read together with Section 326A, the father of four may face up to 14 years in jail and a fine.
He was also charged under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation, which carries a penalty of up to two years in jail, a fine, or both, upon conviction.

According to Utusan Malaysia, Syed Fakrulrazi's lawyer pleaded for a lesser sentence as his client was only recently employed on 1 June with a salary of RM2,000 a month and his wife has filed to divorce him.
The court granted him a bail of RM10,000 with one surety and fixed 10 July for the next court hearing.
In the meantime, his passport will be confiscated and he will be prohibited from meeting his wife until the case is resolved.
