Recently, a four-ingredient recipe for Alien Butter Cookies went viral among Facebook foodie groups, prompting many Malaysian home cooks to try their hand at recreating the cute bite-sized treats

The recipe is pretty simple - simply mix half a block (125g) of butter, 400g of corn flour, half a tin of condensed milk, and four tablespoons of milk powder into a dough, then shape them into little Hershey kisses and decorate them to your liking.
Pop them into an oven preheated at 165°C to 170°C and bake them for 25 to 30 minutes. Easy peasy, right?
Some successfully recreate the recipe and even managed to put their own touch into the cookies with colourful variants and quirky decorations...
For others, it didn't quite turn out the way they'd hoped...

As the saying goes, "aliens of a species stick together"
We feel kinda awful for laughing, but...
At least they tried...?
Baking is hard, you guys.
Oh boi.
We guess you could say it's a recipe for disaster. Heh, sorry couldn't help it.
At least the home bakers find the results of the baking experiment hilarious too. :D
Tragic, but at least we got a few laughs out of it. A for effort, everybody!
