When our electrical and electronic items die, they should not be going into the trash along with everything else

Be it our laptops, handphones, refrigerators, or TVs, these 'e-waste' should be properly disposed through the right channels.

The issue is more than just the fact that it builds up landfill; most e-waste may contain materials that are potentially hazardous and toxic to our health and the environment when it is simply discarded.

Besides, the smaller parts that make up the whole unit can be salvaged for a new purpose in other projects and devices.

The tricky part about proper disposal and recycling practices is that sometimes it can be very mafan.

To help, here are five places that will recycle your e-waste:

1. UrbanR Recycle+
