For the adventurers and thrill-seekers, there's actually plenty of interesting things to do around KL and Selangor that you should try at least once in your lifetime.

I. Explore the largest hybrid VR/AR theme park at The Rift, Mid Valley Megamall

If you want to experience virtual/augmented reality technology, The Rift offers more than 20 attractions for adrenaline seekers. Activities include free-roaming virtual reality shooters, scream-filled thrill rides, and other e-sports.

2. Challenge yourself on an epic escape park in Paradigm Mall

Make a day trip to ESCAPE PJ, one of the largest semi-indoor challenge adventure parks in Malaysia, for a fun escape away from city life. This park has multiple-tiered rope courses, a flying trapeze, zip lines, wall climbing, reverse bungee, and a whole bunch of obstacles and rides that will keep your adrenaline pumping!

Don't worry if you're new to this, as there are five routes with varying levels of difficulty, as well as professionally-trained instructors who will provide constant guidance.

3. Go full military-style competitive at Canyon Paintball

Gear up and spend your weekend dodging around obstacles, eliminating opposing teams, and getting messy in the best way possible! Go full military-style combat with your paintball guns and protective gear as you target opponents and fire at will. 

Stealthily creep around the park and avoid getting hit by a paintball capsule with your teammates and experience what it's like being in the military.

4. Conquer your fear of heights on a suspended obstacle course at Skytrex

Skytrex Adventure at Sungai Congkak is their newest outdoor recreational park located in Hulu Langat, and provides a tree-to-tree elevated trekking experience. Here, you'll get to test your agility as you fly, swing, and dangle on several aerial obstacles that are suspended high above the lush tropical rain forest.

It's a great place to explore for both adventurers and people who want to challenge their fear of heights! However, there are safety systems in place if you wish to withdraw from the circuit at any given time.

5. Dare to dive with sharks at Aquaria KLCC

Have you ever experienced a face-to-face encounter with a real shark? If you're a certified diver, you can... in a safe and controlled environment, of course. At Aquaria KLCC, you'll find five different species of sharks and other ocean creatures in a 60,000sqft oceanarium tank.

This programme was first launched in 2012, so you can rest assured you'll be under the guidance of capable and experienced instructors. Observe the colourful marine life swim past you as you pretend you're a character from The Little Mermaid.

6. Brave the boulders at BUMP Bouldering

You've probably heard of rock climbing, but have you been bouldering? It's basically a similar concept where climbers scale small rock formations or artificial rock walls, but without using ropes or harnesses. For safety measures, there's a padded floor to cushion your bump if you do fall.

8. Make a splash on a water jet at Flyboard Malaysia

If you're into extreme sports and are confident on the water, you'll want to hop onto a flyboard and take off over the waves!

Fly up and down, twist and turn, and shoot high up in the sky on a jetflight over the tranquil waves of Marina Putrajaya. You'll leave behind a spectacular shower trail as you show off your coolest moves.

9. Get splashed as you embark on a whitewater rafting journey with Water Rafting Xventure

Navigate your way down the rocky terrain and rapid currents of Kuala Kubu Bharu river, and come to a relaxing drift at the end of the trip. Enjoy the nature and scenery around the riverbank, and stop to marvel at a cascading waterfall halfway through your journey.

The length of the river is approximately 7km, which makes for a two-hour journey. It's the experience of a lifetime, and you'll come away with strong team-building skills from working with your crew members.

10. Indoor skydiving and surfing at AirRider and FlowRider, 1 Utama

Ever wondered what it's like to feel the wind rushing around your body as you jump out of a flying helicopter and free fall from the sky? You can experience the same adrenaline rush at AirRider, an indoor skydiving simulator that will leave you screaming in exhilaration!

If you'd rather hit the waves, you can book a session at FlowRider, a few floors below AirRider. Children and adults alike will enjoy riding the artificially created waves and learning how to surf in a safe environment.
